We are building our Hong Kong Legal Research cohort!

More than 20 applications have been received from undergraduate and postgraduate students, including applicants from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the University of Hong Kong and City University of Hong Kong.

We are grateful to the University of Hong Kong for posting the opportunity on its student intranet. We also thank the Hong Kong Student Law Gazette for sharing and promoting it with its student audience. Their support, together with the work of ERG’s outreach volunteers, has helped us reach more of Hong Kong’s legal community.

The work is remote and voluntary. Contributors will research primary sources, prepare concise legal and commercial analysis, work in small international teams and contribute to projects intended for publication. The first project lasts four weeks and requires around five hours each week. Selection and longer involvement depend on the quality and reliability of each contribution.

Jadyn Pitt, Elphinstone Research Group's Legal Director and Trustee, is leading the team development, interviews and project planning as part of ERG’s wider Legal Research work.
